ABOUT US

At AMORGIC Foundation, we are driven by the quest for a better life and brighter future for many neglected children in especially some parts of Northern Nigeria.

We are a Non-Governmental Organisation registered and based in Nigeria, with special focus on supporting some of the world's most underprivileged and vulnerable group of children; the Almajiri, Orphans and Girl Child. The support spans chiefly across provision of food, education, and healthcare.

We cover six states of Northern Nigeria for a start, viz.; Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara (highlighted green in the map), and hope to expand the coverage in future.

We are committed to providing life changing, sustainable and lasting solutions to the menace of child neglect in our societies. Therefore, we are determined to defy the status quo and confront the problem head on rather than complain and trade blames incessantly while the innocent children continue to suffer for our collective inaction.

Our mission is to take severely neglected poor children; the triad of Almajiri, Orphans and Girl Child, off the streets begging and/or hawking and secure them a decent and cheerful life through provision of, among other things, access to quality education, clothing, healthcare support, artisanship training, and economic empowerment.

Our work is focused towards securing a purposeful life for the neglected destitutes in order to rekindle their lost hopes and offer them a chance to live a better and happier life, as well as become successful, inspirational models for others who may find themselves in similar situations in life.
